Round 4: ch1, *in the ch3 sp [puff st, ch3, puff st], make a puff st in each ch sp* Repeat *to* 3 more times, sl st with the first puff st.
Rounds 5-22, (5-25, 5-27, 5-30, 5-34, 5-37) Repeat Round 4, fasten off and hide all loose tails. Make 3 more for your size.
This can be easily adjusted for child’s sizes by making less rounds per square. You don’t want your square to be too long, measure from the neck and just past the wrist. Then make 3 more squares the same size.
Assemble Your Poncho Squares
Take 3 of your 4 squares and place them like so (see Pic below)

With your work wrong side facing you, you will begin to join your squares together. You will either choose to sl st like I have or use your tapestry needle and sew them together.
You will join 1 and 2 together first, then 2 and 3 together. (see pic below)

Now that you have assembled 1, 2 and 3 now it is time to add your 4th square. You will do so by placing your work right side facing you, fold in half square 1 and square 3 (see pic below)

You will now add your 4th square wrong side facing you, you will now assemble 1 and 4, and 3 and 4 the same way you assembled 1, 2 and 3.
Hide all loose tails and now we will work on the border/edging. Turn your work right side facing you.
Border/Edging:
Beginning at the bottom edge, join your yarn in any of the ch3 sp

Round 1: ch1, *3sc in the ch 3 sp, sc in the ch sp, sc in the puff st until you reach the next ch3* repeat until you reach the first sc, sl st with it.
Round 2: *ch12, sl st in the same sc as the ch, sl st in the next 2 st* repeat from *to* around, sl st with the first st and fasten off. Hide all loose tails.
