 Hot Cocoa Ornament Free Pattern

This year My Ornaments are all going to be crocheted cuties, it will be much more fun, cheaper, and most importantly, the beginning of a family tradition.
Here is my first one for you, enjoy!


You will need:


Crochet hook : 2.75 mm and 2.25mm
Cascade Ultra Pima Cotton in blue, Cream and Taupe
Scrap of red yarn
Polyfill
Snap on eyes
Tapestry Needle
Ribbon



Stitches used

ch: chain
sc: single crochet
sc2tog: decrease, single two stitches together
sk st: skip a stitch
sl st: slip a stitch




Pattern:


Round 1:With Blue, in a magic ring, ch, 6sc




Round 2: 2sc in each st all around (12sc)



Round 3: 2sc in next st, sc (18sc)


Round 4: 2sc in next st, 2sc (24sc)

Round 5:  2sc in next st, 3sc (30sc)

Round 6:  2sc in next st, 4sc (36sc)

Round 7-13: sc all around (36sc)





Fasten off
snap eyes on between the 7th and 10th round at about 7 stitches apart


Handle

Round 1: With Blue, in a magic ring, ch, 5sc

Round 2-15: single crochet all around



Fasten off

Coffee:
Round 1:With Light Brown, in a magic ring, ch, 6sc

Round 2: 2sc in each st all around (12sc)

Round 3: 2sc in next st, sc (18sc)

Round 4: 2sc in next st, 2sc (24sc)

Round 5:  2sc in next st, 3sc (30sc)
Fasten off

Sew in loose tails.

sew the top at about the 12th  round from the cup.


When about 3/4 done swing stuff firmly with polyfill


Sew the Handle







Whipped Cream

Round 1: with Cream Yarn and 2.25mm hook, in a magic ring, ch, 6sc

Round 2: 2sc in each st all around (12sc)




  Round 3: In Front Loop only, sc all around (12sc)






Round 4: In Back loops or Round 2( Pay attention not from round 3, or you will not have the volume effect you need!!!), [sc, 2sc in next st] all around (18sc)

Round 5: sc all around (18sc)
Round 6: In Front Loop only, sc all around (18sc)


Round 7: In Back loops or Round 5( Pay attention not from round 6, or you will not have the volume effect you need!!!), [2sc, 2sc in next st] all around (24sc)

fasten off

For the tip of the cream, ch7, sc in second ch from hook and in the 5 next stitches, fasten off


Sew it at top of whipped Cream






Saucer: (make 2)

 with blue yarn 
Round 1:in a magic ring, ch, 9sc

Round 2: 2sc all around (18sc)
Round 3: sc all around (18sc)

Round 4: 2sc all around (36sc)




Round 5: sc all around (36sc)
Round 6: [3sc, 2sc in next st] all around ( 43sc)
Round 7-8 : sc all around (43sc)
Fasten off


Place both circles, wrong sides facing each other,

 and sc through both sides all around.

Sew all tales in.

sew the saucer to the cup, ties a ribbon throughout the handle and...voila.

  2. Hello! I love your pattern it's so precious and thanks for sharing it for free. But I noticed on Round 6 on the cup it should be 2 sc in the next and 4 sc not 3 sc. I figured it out because I do Amigurumis all the time but a newbie may not know that so I just wanted to bring it to your attention. Thanks again for the pretty pattern!!
