Allergy Season Tissue Cover Free Pattern

Yikes!!! Allergy Season is here, my eyes are itchy, my nose is runny, and I find myself reaching for my tissues a hundred times a day, so to make things a little less gloomy, I decided to create my Allergy Monster Tissue Cover, Hoping you will enjoy it as much as I do, and wishing allergy season to be over soon....


You will Need:

Crochet hook 2.75 mm and 3.25 mm
Berocco Yarn Comfort DK in Orange, Black and White
Tapestry Needle
Polyfill

Stitches used

ch: chain
sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet
sk st: skip a fitch
sl st: slip stitch

Body:


With Crochet Hook 3.25 mm Ch 26,

Row 1: sc in 3rd ch from hook,

 [dc, sc]   all along,finishing with a dc turn (24st)
Row2: ch, [sc, dc] all along finish with a dc
Row3-28 : Repeat row 2






Fasten off


Border

Row 1: With White Yarn, sl st in upper narrow corner,

 sc in same st,

 2sc, sk st,

[3sc,sk st] 5 times,turn


Row 2: ch, [sc, picot, sc] 6 times





 Fasten off


repeat on opposite side



put work right side facing you

find the middle, fold upper part in half, fold bottom part in half


with your tapestry needle, sew the seams along with your orange yarn.




sew all loose tails in

turn your work back to the right side


Monster eyes (make 2)


with your white yarn, and your 2.75 mm crochet hook
Round 1 ; in a magic circle ch, 6sc, (6sc)
 Round 2:  2sc in each st(12sc)



Round 3: [2sc in next st, sc] (18sc)
Round 4-5: sc all around (18sc)

Round 6: sc2tog, sc (12 sc)
Round 7: sc2tog all around (6sc) fasten off

Iris (make 2):


Round 1: With your black yarn and your 2.75mm, in a magic ring, ch, 6sc


Round 2: 2sc in next st, sc] all around, 9sc
Fasten off

 Sew the Iris to the top of the eye


Stuff firmly with Polyfill

Sew in all loose tails leaving one white tail to use with your tapestry needle to place the eyes.
Voila...much more fun to use now....
