Spring Flower Baby Booties
By Annoo Crochet Designs
Spring Babies are coming and what a wonderful way of welcoming a new bundle of joy with these Adorable Baby Booties.
So Fun and fast to make, I just might make them in many more colors just because….
By the way, the pattern is for 0 to 3 months sizes, but it can easily be changed by adding a few rows at the cuffs.
Happy Crochet my fellow artists!!!

How to Work Front-Post Double-Crochet Stitches
7 of 8 in Series: The Essentials of Double Crochet
Front post stitches are raised crochet stitches on the surface of the fabric facing you. You can create a front-post double-crochet (abbreviated FP dc) stitch with these steps and some practice.
Front post stitches are raised crochet stitches on the surface of the fabric facing you. You can create a front-post double-crochet (abbreviated FP dc) stitch with these steps and some practice.
Work a row of normal double crochet (dc) for the first row and turn.
Chain (ch) 2 for your first double crochet.
Yarn over (yo) and insert your hook from front to back between the posts of the first and second double crochet of the row below, and then from back to front again between the posts of the second and third stitches.
Yarn over and draw the yarn around the post of the stitch.
Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook, twice.

Hi I love these booties.... Just not sure about what weight yarn to use should I use one strand of dk or two?
ReplyDeleteI used Two strands of Dk, I liked the chunky feeling and I felt it gave the booties a little more body...;-)
ReplyDeleteHi, sorry to ask a daft question but what does sc2tog mean? I get the 'single crochet 2' but tog? together? how?
ReplyDeletelol...not a draft question at all it is a single crochet decrease....;-)
ReplyDeletesecond rnd of the foot....dcbp? bpdc.
ReplyDeleteBack post double crochet!!! dyslexic me...;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely booties! Thank you for the pattern.
ReplyDeleteLOVE these booties!!!! so easy and super quick!!! THANK YOU
ReplyDeleteIm a bit confused by the bpdc, I get a sort of edge from them that I cant see on your boot, except maybe when you have it inside out sewing the bottom. Was I supposed to turn it inside out one more time? Yours looks more like fpdc. But then again I have never done this stich before.
ReplyDeleteVery cute. thank you for the pattern and post. I am also having the same issue as Ann, and I am also new to bpdc.
ReplyDeleteThere are no bpdc in this pattern, they are all fpdc. Are you counting the chain ones of the decrease rounds as an actual stitch? If not the count is off.
ReplyDeleteWhen I started the booties it was a little hard for to understand the pattern. But the pictures made it easier for me to understand what was being done. Thanks for the visuals.

ReplyDeleteLove these booties. Definately will be making tons of these. I used worsted red heart yarn that I had left over from a previous project, and will be making these with bernat cotton yarn next.
ReplyDeleteI beleive this pattern is for newborns. The soles came out to 3.5", which is good for 0-3 months
